1. Growing Sentences: You are going to turn these in on Friday. This will help us to save paper. Make sure that you do not lose the sheet of paper. You will get a stamp to show that you did the work on the day it was assigned.

1. W/W and W/W + A1 + WHEN + WHERE.
2. WHEN, W/W + A1 + WHERE.
3. CONDITION, W/W + ACTION.
4. W/W + A1 + CONDITION.
5. CONDITION, W/W + ACTION + WHY.

2. Growing Sentences into Paragraphs: We have spent the last 5 weeks working on sentence patterns. Now we are going to use those patterns to write a short paragraph. Doing this will help us with our writing.

• Write a Narrative(story) of two sentences (a two sentence story) with the following pattern:

1. WHY + W/W + A1.
2. W/W + A1 + WHEN.

• Example: Because the students wanted to learn, they studied a lot. They often were still doing homework while other students were watching television.

3. Work on Biographical Trading Cards, which are due WEDNESDAY. There will be a presentation of the cards on WEDNESDAY.
