1. Review notes about A Raisin in the Sun.

2. Using the SIFT method read "Mammon and the Archer" on pg. 56.

• Symbol--Examine the title and text for symbolism
• Images--Identify images and Sensory Details
• Figures of Speech--analyze figurative language and other devices
• Tone and Theme--discuss how all devices reveal tone and theme

3. If this is not completed in class it becomes HOMEWORK.

4. We will be skipping act 1.11 and moving on to 1.12.

5. Begin to look at Embedded Assessments 1 and 2 on pgs. 78-79 and 92.

• One is the creation of a survey and the other is an essay.
